Dunkin' × MTV × VMAs

Concept Development, Design & Animation

Dunkin' approached our team with a unique challenge: create two integrated :15-second commercials for the MTV Video Music Awards on an extremely tight timeline and limited production budget. The creative brief called for placing Dunkin's product in outer space alongside the iconic VMA Moon Person—without relying on costly 3D production.

To solve the challenge, I developed a visual concept that used generative AI during the ideation phase to rapidly create style frames and explore creative directions. The final concept featured Dunkin's beverage floating in zero gravity, surrounded by dynamic bubbles and atmospheric effects that brought the space environment to life while maintaining the bold visual language of the VMAs. After presenting animation tests and style frames, the concept was approved by Dunkin', allowing the team to move directly into production.

Leveraging existing VMA show package assets and an efficient motion graphics workflow, I successfully designed, animated, and delivered both spots in less than one week.
